During whale season, the cliff paths provide a perfect vantage point to view whales

The Cliff Path is perhaps the most popular trail in Hermanus and stretches from the New Harbour all the way to Grotto beach approximately 12km along the coastline.

The views of Walker Bay and the Mountain Range are breath-taking and during whale season the Cliffs have the perfect spots to sit and watch the whales as they frolic in in the bay.

Certain parts of the path are accessible by wheelchair especially the stretch in front of the Village Square Shopping Centre right the way thru to the Marine Hotel.

The famous Whale Crier of Hermanus offers guided cliff paths walks during whale season spotting the whales in the bay on the meander.

Public benches are dotted along the Cliff Path which offers you the perfect spot for a picnic or just sit back, relax and enjoy the whales and of course the view.

At the end of the walk you and enjoy a refreshing swim in the ocean or dine at Dutchies Restaurant with beautiful views of the beach and ocean. The Tuk Tuks are a phone call away to pick you up at Grotto beach if you don’t want to walk back to your car.
